Roz Carr first arrive in Rwanda just after the second world war with her husband. Her husband left but she remained to carve out a life for herself. By the time of her passing she had performed great work with the orphans of Rwanda giving them a family and sense of purpose. Her legacy now lives on with Imbabzi which provides primarily schoolings for children in the area and a vibrant farm growing vegetables that differ from the stables and beautiful flowers.
When we visited we were shown the old and new school houses and the farm grounds. We have an interactive display of intore dancing and bought some flowers and rhubarb. Imbabzi is something unique in Rwanda. It ha peace and beauty. Go and visit!
